Main
offer
Kangaroo Time Kids, workshop & presentation
A live science-art moment where kids meet kangaroos through music, dance, and embodied movement, and meet the scientific method at the same time. They watch how a behavioural scientist observes, asks a question, designs a way to find out, and reports back. Then they try a version themselves. The output looks and feels like the Dance Your PhD video, that's the point: we're aiming to repeat what already worked, in their school hall.
What students do
Watch · move with the music · learn the science behind kangaroo behaviour · try a mini-observation · perform back a short piece. Adaptable from a 45-min assembly to a half-day workshop block.
STEAM
alternatives
STEAM Karaoke
A whole-class karaoke project where students rewrite the lyrics of a song they already love into a science story, animals, ecosystems, behaviour, anything we can sing about. Then they perform it. Loud, silly, and weirdly memorable.
STEAM Parody
A guided workshop in turning a real piece of science into a parody video, pop song, ad, news segment, TikTok format. Students learn the science by having to translate it. They leave with a finished short piece.
Choreographing Science
Movement-based workshop where a group of students choose a scientific concept, an animal behaviour, a cycle, an ecosystem interaction, and build a short dance piece that shows it. The closest cousin to the Kangaroo Time Kids method.

Transforming Science Into Compelling Art
A practical professional development workshop for teachers who want to translate science into work students actually feel, songs, performance, movement, video, story. Shortlisted in the Top 30 worldwide for Falling Walls Engage 2025, the global prize for transforming science into compelling public communication.
What teachers leave with
A repeatable method, a folder of facilitation prompts, three classroom-ready entry points (karaoke / parody / choreographing science), and the confidence to run a science-art moment without needing to be the artist in the room.
What this
delivers
- Kids feel close to the natural world, kangaroos, behaviour, ecology, through music and movement
- A science-art moment students remember and want to talk about
- An entry point into scientific method that doesn't feel like a lesson
- Teachers leave with practical tools they can re-run themselves
